Engineering geology and foundations
3G GeoTechnica designs, manages and evaluates complete engineering
geological surveys, including laboratory and field tests and
geophysical measurements. Recently 3G GeoTechnica carried out extensive surveys
in difficult geological conditions.
Geotechnics
3G GeoTechnica offers solutions of variety of geotechnical tasks,
mainly consulting for investors and structural engineers and
geotechnical calculations.
Foundations, slope stability problems, retaining walls, rock slope
designs, geotechnical monitoring and other tasks can be done at high
level standards.
3G GeoTechnica experts took a part for example on direct management of
excavation of moved
protective pillar (8.106m3,
1 km length, 300 m height, 10cm/week movement) under embankment with
river, railway, highway, tramway, chemical pipelines and other general
engineer networks.
Hydrogeology
3G GeoTechnica cooperates on hydrogeological problems in conjunction
with groundwater flow and contaminant transport modelling.
Hydrogeological and hydrochemical monitoring and data processing are
carried out in 3G GeoTechnica using advanced statistical methods.
3G GeoTechnica evaluated monitoring data and implemented them in
numerical model of Chabarovice
waste site, which is an uncontrolled 3.2.106m3
toxic waste deposit founded in 1905.

Calculations
3G GeoTechnica offers standard calculations for foundations engineering
(flat foundations, piles, anchors etc.), geotechnics (slope stability,
rock slopes analysis, field tests evaluation etc.) and hydrogeology
(pumping tests evaluation etc.). Main attention is targeted to
numerical modelling using finite element method. Geotechnical and
hydrogeological modelling is available. 3G GeoTechnica use own software,
or software developed in cooperation with other companies.
3G GeoTechnica worked for example on solutions connected with uranium
chemical excavation site in Straz pod Ralskem, more waste sites and
solutions of old contamination in industry zones. 3G experts provided
models of large
scale geotectonical problems for Czech Academy of Science.
Software development
3G GeoTechnica developed own
software for variety of tasks. In groundwater flow and
contaminant transport work 3G GeoTechnica on pre and post-processing in
cooperation
with other companies.
Cooperation
3G GeoTechnica cooperates with Dr. Lloyd Townley, author of
AQUIFEM-N, on the AQPack project.
On other software and consulting projects in groundwater flow and
contaminant transport 3G GeoTechnica cooperates with Oxford
Geotechnica International Ltd. (UK).
3G GeoTechnica provides modelling and data processing services to Ingeo,
the leading waste-management company in Czech republic.
3G GeoTechnica cooperated on projects funded by Czech Republic
Environmental Authority, Grant Agency of Academy of Sciences of Czech
Republic and British Know How Fund.
